DAYTON -- Tax time is upon us and the City of Dayton wants to help you through the sometimes stressful time, free of charge.
The 'Tax Preparation Program' is designed to help working families get as much money as they can from the tax return. The program's goal is to make sure you know about any tax credits you may qualify for.
The program chair, and city commissioner Dean Lovelace says many people can't afford expensive tax preparers, "We know that there's some predatory preparers out there that will charge you more than an arm and a leg...they'll charge you a whole body....three or four hundred dollars for a simple tax return"
