FAIRBORN -- Local airmen were served a special Thanksgiving meal Thursday.
The annual Thanksgiving dinner at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base gives airmen who weren't able to spend Thanksgiving with their families a traditional Thanksgiving meal and time to share with their Air Force family.
"Well you know, our airmen and our civilians do such a great job throughout the year, serving the installation, serving the USAF, so this is our way, as Commanders and First Sergeants, of saying thank you to them," Col. Cassie Barlow said.
Many other bases around the country hold the same tradition.
