Dayton, Ohio - Utility Workers Union of America (UWUA) Local 175 employee-members who work for Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio (Vectren) voted Friday afternoon to ratify a new three-year contract. UWUA Local 175 represents nearly 130 of Vectrenâs natural gas employees in the greater Dayton area.
âThe endorsed contract ensures this skilled, dedicated workforce can return to the job and ensure the continued provision of safe, reliable natural gas to our customers in west central Ohio." said Colleen Ryan, president of Vectren Energy Delivery of Ohio. "We very much appreciate the faithful service of our business continuity team over the past two weeks whose exceptional efforts in the field ensured safe, reliable service was maintained during this time."

The employee-members ratified the contract on Friday, Nov. 30, 2012, and will now return to work Monday, Dec. 3.
