UPDATE -- We now know the name of the man killed in the fire on Burkhardt Road.
The Montgomery County Coroner's Office has identified him as 62-year-old Jeffery Reusch.
Neighbors say Reusch was a Vietnam War Veteran and an active member at the local Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post.
An official cause of death is still pending.

RIVERSIDE -- Firefighters were called to a home on the 5000 block of Burkhardt Road around 7:30 Saturday night
Firefighters say alert neighbors noticed smoke and flames coming from the house. When fire crews arrived and put out the fire, they found the body of an elderly man who had succumb to the blaze.
"Anytime you get a fatality, you look at all possible causes, and the police department is treating this like a homicide, and it'll probably be several days before we have a cause" said Joseph Griel, Riverside Battalion Chief.
Police and the state fire marshal are investigating what exactly led to the fore and the death of the victim.
The house is considered a total loss.
