BROOKVILLE -- Police have tentatively identified the body of a woman who was found lying along the 800 block of Shaney Lane.
The elderly female was found wearing pajama-like clothing and she did not have on a coat or shoes. She was unresponsive when found by a newspaper carrier, who called 911.
Over the next few days, the Montgomery County Coronerâs Office will work to positively identify the female through medical and dental records.
The family is aware of the circumstances of the death as we know them. They have asked for privacy and that their names or the name of the elderly female not be released.

Now police are trying to figure out who she is and how she got there. They're asking Brookville residents to check on any white females in their seventies that might live by themselves.
