BEAVERCREEK -- Firefighters spent the day packing up dozens of boxes for our troops serving overseas.
Firefighters spent weeks collecting donations for the care packages and say they could not have pulled off this project without the amazing help of the community.
"We appreciate the support of the community, we wouldn't be able to do this without them, they've donated enough stuff to pack up about 140 boxes, as well as money for shipping," Lt. Leigh Brewer of the Beavercreek Fire Department told us.
About 20 people spent about an hour and half Monday morning packing up all the boxes so they can be shipped out.
