TIPP CITY--Police cars filled the streets during a funeral procession for Tipp City Police Chief Thomas Davidson.
Chief Davidson died Tuesday after a long battle with cancer earlier this week.
He served as Tipp City's chief for 22 years and city officials dedicated a plaque in his memory.
"He helped anybody and everybody...anything you asked him to do, he never really said no. he always said what can we do to help you," said resident Kathy Taylor.
Those who live in Tipp City say Chief Davidson started many crime fighting programs in the community including RAD; a program to bring awareness about rape.
City officials will name the Tipp City police building for Chief Davidson.
