COLUMBUS -- A homeowner fights back after catching a burglar in the act. Details of the crime are like something out of a story book.
James Leigh says he woke up to find a burglar's legs dangling from inside his kitchen window.
Leigh sprung into action, going after the burglar. Leigh grabbed his foot as he was going out the window.
The crook left behind a gray Nike tennis shoe just moments before the clock struck midnight.
The burglar came back a few hours later, knocked on the door, and brazenly asked for his shoe back.
Leigh says, "I'm like, 'what's wrong with this guy? Coming back to ask for his shoe back, he's got to be seriously on some drugs."
Leigh didn't give the burglar his shoe back. Instead, he gave it to police, who are now investigating.
