CLARK COUNTY -- The Clark County Sheriff's Office is investigating a home invasion where a teenager was held down at knife point.

The girl was able to escape her attackers and run to her neighbor's home.

Bob Ivory was watering his tomato plants when the 16-year-old girl, who lives next door, came running over, screaming for help.

"I look at her and she's crying and frantic. I was trying to find out what was wrong and at the same time I noticed her clothes were torn or cut and I knew something was wrong at that time," Ivory said. Ivory tried to get  information from the teen and called 911.

Clark County Sheriff's deputies said two men wearing all black with gloves and ski masks broke into the home on Joshane, where the teen was home alone.

Deputies said they held her down, and held two butcher knives to her throat, threatening her life.

"She said, 'the men said they were going to kill me'," Ivory said.

The teen's father, a local police offer who doesn't want to be identified,  said he taught his daughter if she was ever in trouble to fight back.

"I'm  thankful she was able to fight off the guys and get out," he said.

"She just got her driver's license yesterday. It was supposed to be a happy day, and then this happens," he added.

Both her parents were at work when the home invasion happened.

Investigators say the thieves thought the home was empty when they broke in, and were surprised to see the girl.

A K-9 was brought out to the scene and tracked the men to a creek near Route 41, but then lost the scent.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Clark County Sheriff's Office at 328-2560.
