MAD RIVER TOWNSHIP -- Verna L. Napier, 38, of Springfield was Tasered then arrested after the Clark County Sheriff's Office says she threatened to harm her mother and then kicked and punched a deputy several times.
Deputies said they responded at 1:27 a.m. Friday to a trailer at 3834 Dayton Road, after getting reports of a threat Napier allegedly made against her mother on Facebook.
Deputies said Napier fled to her bedroom, attempting to barricade herself inside. "A confrontation ensued between Napier and deputies where one deputy was kicked several times and punched," the Sheriff's Office reports.
The Taser subdued her. She was taken to jail and is expected to be arraigned Friday morning on charges of Assault on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Obstructing Official Business.
