Four Local Football Teams Face-Off for the State Championships

CANTON--Four local high school football teams are playing for state championships this weekend. 

The Marion Local Flyers played this morning at 11am looking for the sixth football state title in school history; playing against Newark Catholic.
     
Early in the game, Adam Bertke fired a strike down the middle, and the receiver made a great catch and gets hammered in the middle of the field. 

Later in the drive, Hunter Wilker used some fancy footwoRk to find the endzone and give Marion Local the lead.

For the final play of the game, the flyers defense stepped up and broke up the pass play.  Marion Local beat Newark Catholic, 28-21.    

In the division four state finals, Clinton Massie took on St. Clairsville.

Early in the game, Bayle Wolfe bashed his way across the goal line for one of his five touchdowns on the day. 

Later in the game, St. Clairsville's Matt Kinnick looking downfield, and it's picked off by Massie's Cole Brogan.

Clinton Massie won its first ever state championship, 46-36.
