DAYTON--A bizarre scene for Dayton police this morning they're called to a shooting scene only to find a car on fire.

Police finally located the victim in the 4600 block of Hedgewood; a block away from where he was shot at the intersection of England Avenue and Owens Drive.

Police say the victim was driving with two shooters in a Neon.  Some type of disturbance led him to slam into a Jeep Grand Cherokee parked in the street.

He jumped out of the Neon and ran off, but as he was running, he was shot at by his two passengers in the Neon.

"The collision that took place between the two vehicles caused the red neon to burst into flames. So we consider that a high rate of speed at this point in time," said Sgt.Charles Anderson.

Police say the man was shot in the hip and arm and describe his injuries as serious.  However, he is expected to be okay.

The shooters have not been found at this time.
