DAYTON-- Police are looking for two men who robbed a man and his 13-year-old step-daughter at gun point.
The gunmen knocked on the door of the home on East Norman.
When the man answered, the men forced their way into the home and hit the man over the head with a gun and demanded money from him.
He was home, with his 13-yr old step daughter.
The girl's mother, who doesn't want to be identified, said her daughter tried to hide.
"She ran back in her room, and I guess she was trying to put something heavy in front of the door, and they pushed the door it knocked it down and she fell to the ground."
The girl's mother said one of the armed men then forced her daughter her back into the living room with a gun to the girls head.
The thieves threatened to kill the girl, if her step-dad wouldn't give up the money
"I wasn't there, but from what I understand they said 'I will shoot her, I will kill her."
The young teen told the thieves they could have the 15 dollars she had.
The robbers didn't take her cash, and according to the police report the gunman told the girl "you keep your money baby girl."
The gunmen did take her step dad's cell phone and their flat screen TV before taking off
"I'm just grateful they didn't touch her." The girl's mother said.
Police dusted for fingerprints at the scene. No arrests have been made. Anyone with information
is asked to call police at 333-COPS.
DAYTON -- Home invasion suspects forced their way into a duplex, assaulted a man and threatened a 13-year-old girl, then stole a cell phone and TV.
Police said two men knocked on a door of a residence on East Norman Avenue late Sunday night. Timothy Duncan looked through the peep hole he saw no one so he opened the door. Two men, armed with semi-automatic pistols, pushed their way in and ordered Duncan on his knees, then asked, "Where's the money?"
Also in the home was a 13-year-old girl, who is Duncan's fiancee's daughter. She also was ordered to the living room.
One of the suspects hit Duncan on the head with the gun when he said he had no money. Duncan told police one of the suspects said, "Don't think I won't put one in her."
The girl then offered the suspect $15, the only money she had, but they refused, saying, "No, you keep your money, baby girl."
Duncan told police one suspect fled out of the residence through the front door and grabbed his cell phone on the way out. The other suspect fled out the back door with a 51-inch flatscreen TV.
Duncan ran next door then to call police.
The suspects are described as black males, one 5-foot-8 wearing a black coat with a hood, blue or black jeans, white Nike shoots with red laces and a black neoprene mask. The other is about 6-foot tall and was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, black jeans and he had a silver mask.
