WEST CARROLLTON--Families in West Carrollton will soon have a brand new playground to visit.
West Carrollton's Parks and Recreation Department is installing a new playground at the Soccer Complex on Hydraulic Road.
The city received funding for the project through a $32,000 grant from the state's Nature Works Program.
The playground includes three slides, a tunnel, climbing platforms, and two awnings to shade people from the sun.
âWe actually had to remove the previous equipment a few years ago due to safety concerns,â said Christian Mattingly, Parks and Recreation Director. âIt was some of the most heavily-used equipment in the city and was about 17 years old.â
