HAMMOND, Ind. (AP) -- A top Indiana legislative leader says Indiana's riverboat casinos are under attack by competing venues in neighboring states, and he wants to do something to make them more attractive.

Republican Indiana Senate President David Long of Fort Wayne says Indiana doesn't need more casinos, just ways to make them more competitive with new tribal casinos in Michigan, new Ohio casinos in Cincinnati and Toledo, and casinos proposed for Chicago and its south suburbs.

Long tells the Times of Munster he's more open to moving Gary's Majestic Star casino from Lake Michigan to an inland site.

Indiana's casino tax revenues last year were more than 5 percent lower than in 2008.
